frequently asked questions
Q: What is a fanzine?A: A fanzine (or zine) is a fan produced magazine, usually centered around a certain theme or media. Zines are usually limited-run, can be digital pdfs or physical booklets, and can even include fan-made merchandise. Zines have no affiliation to the creators of the source material that the zine is based on. Our zine’s theme is found family, featuring the cast of Trigun. This includes the manga, both tv adaptations, and movies.Q: What is the age rating for this zine?A: The age rating for this zine will be 15+ and may contain canon-typical violence.Q: Is this zine for charity or for profit?A: This zine will be for chairty.Q: Are you planning on creating any merch?A: Yes! We will be producing both digital and physical merchandise to accompany the zine.Q: Will follower count have any impact on applications?A: No, follower count or amount of interactions on submitted samples will not be taken into consideration. We encourage anyone to apply regardless of the amount of followers they have. Applications will be evaluated based on the criteria outlined in the application information section.Q: How will contributors be compensated?A: All contributors and mods are guaranteed a digital copy of the zine. If the zine breaks even, we will be able to provide physical copies of the zine to all contributors, free of cost. In the case that the zine does not break even, the physical zine and merch will be available to be purchased by contributors at production cost.Q: Will contributors retain the rights to their work?A: All contributors will retain full rights and ownership of their work, and are free to use their work however they like once the project has reached completion. We ask that all works are not shared with people outside the zine until the end of the project. The date that you may post your piece online will be specified by the mod team.Q: Are there any content restrictions?A: Disrespectful and/or explicit portrayals of racism, homophobia, transphobia, pedophilia, incest, or sexual assault will not be allowed. We understand that Trigun does touch on darker topics and themes, but it is important that these topics are discussed and portrayed in a respectful manner. Canon-typical violence will be allowed, but should not be portrayed graphically. We are aware that Wolfwood is often portrayed in canon material with a lighter skin tone and more Eurocentric features than in the original manga and anime, but we will not be accepting any content of whitewashed Wolfwood despite this. We believe it is unfair to take away his original and more diverse features, even if canon doesn't share our sentiment.Additionally, we encourage contributors to portray their diverse character headcanons, as well as tackle difficult subjects through the lens of healing and found family in their works.Q: Will sexual content be allowed?A: No, sexual content will not be allowed or included in this zine. Please do not submit sexual content in your portfolios or samples.Q: Will ships be allowed?A: Yes, background and implicit ships (ex. two characters holding hands) will be allowed in this zine. Ships may also be explicitly portrayed in content on a case by case basis, but romance should not be the focus.Q: Will alternate universe (AU) content be allowed?A: AU content will be allowed on a case by case basis.

Head; Organization & Layout ModeratorI got into Trigun in late 2022 and adored its themes, but the central one of love made me slightly crazy and I can’t wait to explore it with this project! I’ve been the head moderator for several projects and helped mod and participated in several more, all of which you can find listed here!

Art & Graphics ModeratorHello! I am so excited to be your art and graphics moderator for this project. I’ve been a fan of Trigun since my friend showed it to me in my college dorm a few years ago. I can’t wait to create something super cool with y’all! Most recently I have been the art and graphics mod for Drawing Fate: a Witch Hat Atelier Tarot Project, but I have also been an art moderator for other zines in the past (as well as a contributor to many many more). If you would like to check out what other projects I have been a part of, please take a look at my carrd!

Shipping ModeratorI’ve been deep into Trigun since 2017 when I’d spend many a lunch period in my high school cafeteria binging the entirety of Trigun and Trimax !! My love for this series has never faded since and I have been SO ecstatic to see one of my favorite series get such a fun revival! Now that I’m a working adult, I have spent the past two years running a small online store selling my art in the form of prints and stickers. I have fulfilled over 300 orders to date including US domestic orders and international orders delivered to over fourteen non-US countries. I am proud to add this zine to my growing list of zines I’ve worked on for fulfillment! Packaging your mail is my passion!!!

Writing ModeratorHi, it’s such an honor to be this project’s writing moderator! I used to watch the original episodes of Trigun with my brother and I’m excited to revisit the series as an adult. Some of my previous experiences as a writing moderator include: The Great Turnabout: a TGAA Scrapbook Zine, Tres Elegant: A SPY X FAMILY Vintage Ads Zine, and CODA, an Evangelion Zine. You can view more of my organization and zine contribution experience here!

Financial ModeratorAbout: Hiya! I fell in love with the Trigun universe the first second Trigun Stampede aired. I immediately read the manga and watched the original anime and even with that I couldn’t get enough! That is why I am so excited to be working on my first zine as the financial moderator. I am the owner and operator of Mustbedeadart, a subtle anime-inspired earring shop. I have been running my business for a few years, selling over a thousand pairs of earrings. Growing my business has been a huge passion of mine and I often panel at conventions to teach others how to run an anime business as well. I am happy to bring those skills to support such a wonderful project like this one!
